Local Dairy Distributions Get 40,000 Gallons of Milk to New York Families in Need
In the past three weeks, ADA North East has helped get more than 40,000 gallons of milk to families in New York with milk made available through Nourish New York and the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). Dairy Farmers of America and Upstate Niagara Cooperative have provided the milk.

‘Fun on the Farm’ Series to be Hosted this Week by New York Dairy Farm Family
After a 10-week run, ADA North East’s “Fun on the Farm” Facebook series garnered 1.9 million views. Starting this month, we shifted to one dairy video per week in the series as families are less homebound due to quarantine restrictions and are seeking less on-line educational materials. 

Nate Chittenden of Dutch Hollow Farm in Schodack Landing, N.Y., makes his Fun on the Farm debut this Saturday, June 13, along with his children to discuss their roles and farm tasks.

June 15 Deadline Quickly Approaching for Dairying for Tomorrow Awards
Last year’s winners included New York dairy farmers: King Brothers Dairy in Schuylervile (Community Outreach); and, Wagner Farms in Poestenkill (Environmental Stewardship Honorable Mention). 
Dairy farmers are reminded the application deadline for ADA North East’s Dairying for Tomorrow Awards is June 15. The awards recognize farmers’ passion for dairying and their exemplary practices in three categories: animal care, community outreach and environmental stewardship.
