Climate action tool launches on 2 July

A unique catalogue of measures allowing policy makers to move from climate ambitions to the actions needed to achieve them will launch globally on 2 July. The Transport Climate Action Directory has been built by ITF over the past four years and is one of the key outputs of the ITF's Decarbonising Transport initiative. Join us for the online launch

Covid-19 and decarbonisation policies for Argentina

A virtual conference will explore how transport decarbonisation policies can promote low-carbon economic growth and increased resilience of Argentina’s transport system following the Covid-19 crisis. ITF Secretary-General joins ministers from Argentina and Chile to open the series of 10 bilingual webinars from 7 to 30 July as part of our Decarbonising Transport in Emerging Economies project. India low-CO2 mobility project kicks-off

Our “Decarbonising Transport in India” project launches online on 24 June. ITF Secretary-General Young Tae Kim and NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant will open the public launch of this collaborative project between the two organisations. The project will help develop a pathway towards a low-carbon transport system for India as part of our Decarbonising Transport in Emerging Economies project. Join the kick-off meeting

Continued engagement on the road to COP26 

The ITF continues to support the UNFCCC Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action as a co-focal point for transport in the run-up to COP26: now to be held in November 2021. We continue to contribute transport and climate change-related outputs, activities and events, including the submission of inputs on improving the Marrakech Partnership for enhancing ambition (PDF) and the revision of the Climate Action Pathways for transport

10 recommendations to up ambition for next NDCs

The SLOCAT Partnership has released ten recommendations to increase sustainable, low-carbon transport ambition in second-generation NDCs. They aim to help Paris Agreement signatories to submit ambitious updates for their NDCs, due this year. SLOCAT invites all organisations to support the campaign by joining as endorsing entities; promoting the campaign through social media and newsletters using the hashtag #TransportinNDCs. Read more
