June 2020 ITCurves Newsletter

IT Curves invites our readers that includes transportation policymakers and policy makers affected by transportation, as well as transit and transportation professionals to read our June newsletter! In this month’s issue, we would like to introduce our newest awards, projects and near-future plans.

As always, we thank you for your support, wish you all the best as the country looks towards reopening, and look forward to sending out next month’s issue.

Current Projects and Awards

Grants

IT Curves was recently awarded grants from Los Angeles Transit in California for the creation of a paratransit travel management platform/ reservation system that currently serves over 12,000+ Los Angeles residents. The company was also awarded a grant from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) for the creation of the Ride-To-Health Platform, aimed at enhancing health outcomes for the transportation disadvantaged, through better travel ride management.

Policy

The company has also worked with Montgomery County executives to raise awareness for the need for equitable access to takeout/curbside delivery for the transportation disabled, that cannot take advantage of the curbside pickup offered by most grocery and restaurants. These riders were using county funding for rides to local food resources before the stay-at-home directives.

As a result of these conversations, legislation was recently passed requiring Call-N-Ride services to assist in paying customers' meal delivery fees.

Future Prospects

We are also pursing a partnership with Connected DMV, working towards constructing an area wide arrival notification platform.

Software Development

IT Curves is also taking steps to make its reservation system multimodal. Recently, Transit Screen, Moovit App and Transit App have all approached us regarding this matter.

Thank You

We would like to thank our network partner, Los Angeles County Taxi, for sharing ideas on how to be available as a company with a large fleet of both drivers and vehicles equipped with IT Curves’ transparency connectivity accountability solution. LA cabs are being procured by the city to deliver restaurant food to those that do not have access to regular transportation or meals.

Reopening

The International APTA conference is planned to take place in October 2020 in Los Angles. IT Curves looks forward to presenting with our joint venture partner TSS.
