OIE News

June 2020

The OIE continues its efforts to improve animal health and welfare during the coronavirus pandemic

Despite the closure of its Headquarters between March and early June, the OIE has maintained its core activities during the lockdown period. This issue presents recent achievements to curb the emergence of African horse sickness in Asia, pursue efforts against antimicrobial resistance and keep mitigating the effects of animal diseases such as African swine fever and equine influenza. It also gives an overview of all the activities conducted in 2019 and early 2020, presented by the Presidents of the four Specialist Commissions and through the latest OIE Annual Activity Report.
