We have worked directly with the Hamilton County Health Department to see what best practices we can implement so that we can comply with federal, state, and local COVID-19 guidelines.
Noblesville Babe Ruth Baseball 2020 COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

  • Guests 65 and older, and those with known high-risk medical conditions, at the advice of the Hamilton County Indiana Health Department, are recommended not attend events for Noblesville Babe Ruth Baseball and any and all tournaments that might be held during the course of the 2020 season.
  • We recommend that all spectators wear appropriate face covering for the protection of themselves, other spectators, players, and the Noblesville Babe Ruth staff. Social distancing must be maintained at all times during the course of the 2020 season.
  • The area between the concession stand and the 1st Base dugout, and behind the concession building on Logan Field will be off limits to spectators.  This is to allow additional space for the player to maintain social distancing.
  • We recommend all spectators bring their own lawn chair to encourage social distancing
  • We have added extra space down the first base line on Emmerson this year to have more room for spectators.

Recreational Baseball Players, Parents, and Guests

  • Players will not be penalized by their coach or the league for missing any practices due to their own illness or the illness of members of their family.
  • All coaches and players should self-assess for any symptoms of COVID-19 before traveling to the ball fields for any games or practices.
  • Each player must have a temperature check (by a parent) prior to any team events. Any player with a fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, or exhibiting any of the possible signs/symptoms of COVID-19, shall be prohibited from participating in any NBRB sponsored event.  This is a parent/guardian responsibility.
  • All players will be required to have a COVID-19 waiver signed by a parent/guardian on file prior to play.
  • We recommend that players wear face coverings when not actively participating on the field.
  • Players must use their own water container.
  • Players must use only their own equipment (bat, helmet, glove). Shared equipment (league provided catcher’s equipment) shall be sanitized prior to being used by another player by the coaching staff of the team.
  • Each dugout will be expanded to include a 10’x20’ tent for players/coaches only.  Until a more permanent solution is identified, players are encouraged to bring a folding style lawn chair to use during the games.
  • NO TOUCH RULE – There will be no high fives, handshakes, fist bumps, etc. during the course of the game or at the conclusion of the game between the teams.
  • NO SEEDS, GUM OR OTHER ITEMS MAY BE CHEWED OR SPIT.
  • The main grandstand on Logan will be available for spectator seating, as will be the bleachers on both sides of Emmerson. Social distancing guidelines must be maintained at all times.
  • Coaches will be encouraged to wear face coverings when in close contact with players during the game (i.e. mound visits, injuries, etc.).
  • Sportsmanship – There will be zero-tolerance policy for all players, coaches, and spectators during the course of the 2020 season.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be near each dugout, the concession stand, and the restrooms.
  • Disinfectant will be provided in each dugout. Coaches will apply the disinfectant to high traffic areas on the fence and the bench in between games.

NBRB Staff

  • High touch areas in restrooms will be disinfected by NBRB staff, per guidelines from the Hamilton County Health Department.
  • All employees will be required to complete a health assessment, including temperature reading, upon reporting to work at the fields and concession stand.
  • NBRB Concession staff will wear masks and follow increased sanitization protocols, in consultation with the Hamilton County Health Department.

Noblesville Babe Ruth Baseball will continually monitor information and updates provided on COVID-19 provided by the CDC, State of Indiana and Office of the Governor, the Hamilton County Health Department, and Noblesville Schools which could result in changes to our program and the 2020 season.

Our goal is to limit exposure and maintain a safe, healthy environment for the players, guests, and staff. Please keep in mind that we are a volunteer based, non-profit organization. We rely heavily on the cooperation of our parents, volunteer coaches, and volunteer board members. We must all work together to keep our players and guests safe.

We would like to thank our parents, players, and NYB for your communication and partnership in 2020.
