COVID-19 Updates to Services
As part of our ongoing efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, and in keeping with the Province of Ontario’s guidelines, all City facilities including City Hall, remain closed to the public until further notice.

FAQ on City Services during COVID-19
We encourage residents to visit our COVID-19 FAQ website, updated daily, providing detailed information on City services during this time.

Residents are also encouraged to follow the City on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to stay up-to-date on City services during COVID-19.

 
All City Playgrounds Remain Closed
Instead, why not take the kids for a jog around the Oakes Park track, play a game of tennis, or even shoot some hoops at your neighbourhood park? The City is also full of trails and greenspace to get outside and stay active while keeping safe. Until further notice, all City playgrounds remain closed and are off limits.

Splash Pads Open City-Wide
All seven splash pads will open for the season on Saturday, June 20th (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Safety precautions will include mandatory COVID-19 screening, rigorous sanitation practices, and reduced limits on capacity. We ask that you limit your playtime to 20 minutes when others are waiting. niagarafalls.ca/news.
Sports Fields Open for Team Training
On Saturday June 20th, outdoor team sports may resume use of fields for training purposes only and with no scrimmages or games. Physical distancing measures of 2m separation must be adhered to at all times, when using the fields. Access to the fields for organized sports will be by allowed by permit only. niagarafalls.ca/news
Grave Sites and Funerals
While COVID-19 cemetery guidelines remain in place with a 10 person limit at grave sites, funeral services may now be attended by up to 50 guests. Thank you for respecting this temporary policy, and for your understanding, continued support, and respect for the grieving families that we serve. For more information please visit thebao.ca.

Niagara Enters Stage 2
On Friday, June 19th at 12:01 a.m. Niagara Falls enters Stage 2 of the Province's recovery framework. More businesses will have the opportunity to re-open and more services will become available to our residents, thanks to the collective and ongoing efforts of our front line healthcare workers, businesses, workers and families to limit the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Sidewalk Cafés and Patios Expand across Niagara Falls
In preparation for future staged re-openings of the hospitality industry across Ontario, the City of Niagara Falls is implementing a strategy to assist local bars and restaurants. The City’s plan will make it easier for restaurant and bar owners to open and expand sidewalk cafes and patios, and to access additional space for physical distancing to keep customers and employees safe. Face Coverings Encouraged on Public Transit
Niagara Falls Transit and Regional transit operators encourage riders to consider wearing face coverings as an added measure of protection when using public transit. Additional precautions in response to COVID-19 have included rear-door entry, reduced capacity, and discouraging non-essential travel. Niagara Falls Rainbow Crosswalk: Virtual Unveiling

Free Grocery Giveaway #2. Friday June 19 at 1 p.m., 4500 Park St.
Free Grocery Giveaway #2
Thanks to an anonymous donor, another free grocery giveaway is taking place in Niagara Falls. On Friday June 19th at 1 p.m. everyone is need is welcome to pick up free groceries at 4500 Park St (the old Park St Market in downtown Niagara Falls). Project Share will be on site to provide assistance and bags will be provided.  Please remember to practice physical distancing when attending the giveaway.

Niagara College U-passes have expired.
New adult passes will be required for all post-secondary riders on Niagara Falls and Regional transit starting July 1st. Additional details, including purchase locations, will be posted at niagarafalls.ca.
