FUMC Temple Regathering Survey

Dear Faith Family,
For the last few months, we have been sheltering in place. This has impacted every aspect of our society including how our church does ministry and worship.

From live stream worship services, Sunday school, Bible studies, community outreach, youth and children’s programs, our church is conducting ministry in ways we never have before. The good news is that the church has been up to the task. You have done a phenomenal job.

While the communities around us are beginning to open up, our church is in the process of discerning God’s will as to when we open up and what procedures will be in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.

This does not mean that live stream worship will end. In fact, we intend to offer both traditional and contemporary live stream worship on Sunday mornings as a means of outreach and to stay connected with those who cannot attend in person.

In order to make the best decisions, based on the latest information, a Regathering Taskforce has been assembled. It includes representatives from local government, the medical community, business community, education, church trustees, the administrative council, church lay leader, and staff.

Because this is an evolving situation, as of now, the Regathering Taskforce is not at the place where it can determine when our church will open. This will be reassessed on a regular basis.

In collecting relevant information, the Regathering Taskforce needs your help. Included in this email is a survey. We ask you complete it by the 18th of June.

Thank you for your patience and grace during these strange times. We will get through this and be better for it.

I pray your day is filled with joy and laughter.

Tom Robbins

Shop, Drop and Roll Drive Receives Widespread Support to
Replenish Food Pantry

On Tuesday June 9, you stepped up once more to ensure that we would never have to turn away anyone seeking temporary food assistance. Bags of food are assembled from the pantry inventory and delivered weekly to local families in need. Our hope is to continue receiving items from the pantry each month to sustain its inventory. You are to be commended for your faithful support of this meaningful outreach. Blessings - Brian

Women’s Ministry……had to suspend many wonderful programs, activities, luncheon, and a retreat until further notice as of March 16, 2020+++
Like many Sunday school and church groups, we have learned ways to stay in touch, study God’s Word, and now practice social distancing.  I am so proud of all the women that have learned to ZOOM.   We have had time to walk closer with God and allow Him to guide us in His plan for our lives and the future of our church.  The women of FUMC are stronger than ever and ready to continue with His work as His plan continues to unfold.

ALL THINGS NEW…..A Study on 2 Corinthians
By Kelly Minter
He Makes All Things New…..This study will lead you through the Letter of 2 Corinthians to discover how Paul’s encouragement to the believers in Corinth challenges the church today.  As new creations in Christ, we are to spread the message of Jesus’ grace, comfort, and generosity with the world.  In the way we live, we must boldly declare:
He makes all things new.
