Please pre-book your visit here and note that for the month of June we are offering 'Pay what you May' admission for all essential service workers and our friends in the arts and culture sector.
Our June hours are as follows:
We are open every Thursday to Saturday
11am - 12pm For Vulnerable and at-risk people
12 - 5pm All visitors
Starting Thursday, July 2 we are pleased to offer extended evening hours on Thursday evenings until 7pm.
Shop AGA and Art and Rentals and Sales will reopen on Thursday, June 25. Thank you for your support!
Please note that in the interest of public health and safety, all high-touch and interactive areas are closed. This includes Zinc Restaurant and the Children's Gallery.

National Indigenous Peoples Day
|
|
On June 21, Canada celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day and the AGA was proud to join the celebration by showcasing recent acquisitions to the collection by contemporary Indigenous artists.

We also wanted to take a moment to thank the Canada Council for the Arts who funded the acquisition of 26 works by 13 contemporary Indigenous artists through the New Chapter Grant.

Week two - “The modulus of rupture." An interview with Jake Chakasim
|

In week two of 250 AGA, Amery Calvelli, Adjunct Curator of the Poole Centre of Design, furthers her investigation inspired by Michael Sorkin's essay "Two Hundred Fifty Things an Architect Should Know." This week she looks into item number four: “The modulus of rupture.” Calvelli discusses the concept in an interview with artist Jake Chakasim whose work is featured in our exhibition Nests for the End of the World.
