Earlier this week, I went to the Black Lives Matter protest in Hollywood. It was surreal to be surrounded by so many people (all wearing masks and slathered in hand sanitizer !!) after months of quarantine, but I'm thankful I was able to go. In the past, I questioned the effectiveness of protesting/marching, and felt that voting was the only time it *really* mattered to show up. But coming across the quote in the image above helped put things into perspective for me. Don't forget that there are so many different ways to show up for the cause; if you haven't yet protested/donated/said something/learned something, please consider how you can change that.
