Dear friends,
This week we have been looking at the four commands in Psalm 100. The fourth command in this psalm is to “enter”. There is a sense in which worship is drawing near and entering into God’s presence, and not about speaking to Him from a safe distance. The reason we can be bold is that his faithfulness and love endure forever. The Apostle Peter speaking of God’s mercy and grace writes ‘For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God’ (1 Peter 3:18). In all the uncertainties surrounding us He is faithful (verse 5), His word is dependable, and promises are trustworthy.
We are reminded that the Lord is not only great, but also good (verse 5). There are grounds to praise Him not only for what He has done, but for what He is. Is this reality part of our lives?
With my prayers for you and your families
