June 2020 Edition
It's June already!  I wanted to put our time at home to good use, so I decided to tackle our loft.  Whilst it is not usually the time of year I would recommend working in a loft (as it's too warm!), I thought I would grab the opportunity.   Find out how I got on below!

The very first Virtual Summit for UK Virtual Declutterers & Organisers will be held on 23rd June.  I am proud to have been invited as a guest speaker to talk about how to organise home offices.   More on this event next month!
Virtual Decluttering & Organising
Whilst I am really missing seeing clients in person right now, I am staying up to date with all the latest Government advice about when I may be able to get back out and about again.

In the meantime, my Virtual Decluttering & Organising sessions are available to book.   Book a free 20-minute consultation to find out more.
 MY loft transformation!

During lockdown my husband and I have transformed our loft space.  Before we started only a small area was available for storage.  The project took 10 days and we now have a fully boarded loft, complete with laminate flooring providing plenty of clean storage space.

We even managed to put some old loft boards on Freegle!  Not much decluttering was required as I only store seasonal decorations, suitcases and our ski equipment, which is all labelled storage boxes! So pleased with our efforts!

My top tips!

1. Plan to tackle children's clothes twice a year, to stay on top of things.
2. At each session tidy their wardrobe, dig out buried items and try things on.
3. If you are setting aside clothing for younger siblings, only store useful items.
4. Plan where decluttered clothes will go. Friends, family or charity shop.
5. Don't forget items not stored in wardrobes - e.g sunglasses, hats, coats etc...

Say "no" to clutter!
Items often sneak into our homes which end up as clutter.  Do you pick up freebies or buy stuff you don't really need at the sales, car boot sales or charity shops?  Want to find out how you can be more mindful about bringing new things into your home?  Have a listen to Podcast 87 Lesley and I talk about how to avoid self-sabotage when decluttering.

Stay safe and well everyone
