A lot of events have happened this week, and they can be overwhelming. Despite the ups and downs, our Lord is still constant. Please seek God’s Word and pray for guidance, hope, and peace for our church and our communities.
Latest Updates:
1. Prayer Requests:
- Millie Lau-Chin and Family – Mr. Yim Lau, Millie’s father, passed away on June 3, 2020. Please pray for Millie, Tim, Aaron, Andrew Chin, and the Lau family during this difficult time.
- Eric Pracht and Minda – Eric has begun his six-weeks of radiation treatment. If you can take him to his medical appointments or help get groceries/meals, please sign up here. The sign-up sheet has been updated with his transportation needs. Please pray for them!
2. Register Now for Summer Weekend Services – Mark your calendars for online services with Pastor Richard Hernandez (English section) and Pastor Edith Mui (Chinese section) during the weekend of July 11-12. In lieu of an in-person Summer Retreat, this year, we will have an online gathering. It is free to participate, but registration is required.

3. Recovery Committee – To be prepared for the reopening of our church, we need to design a safety plan for the use of the facility. The board has initiated a Recovery Committee to evaluate future in-person services and activities. Members are Art Chin (Chair), Roberto Chong, Enoch Chu, Pastor Jonathan, Melvenia Ha, Betty Kan, Ann Kawauchi, Nancy Wong, Jenny Yee, and Jacqueline Yeung, representing the Board, Children, Elim, KCA, Worship teams, Youth, as well as facilities, maintenance, and health care. More information will be shared in coming weeks as they consider safety, supplies, guidelines, and logistics for implementation.
4. S.M.A.R.T Project Committee – The Board is starting a committee to evaluate our church’s financial and communication tools, with the goal of reaching out more efficiently to our congregation and community. Members are Regina Sung (Chair), John Almon, Art Chin, Victor Ha, Rosita Kan, Pam Wong, Phil Wong, and Jenny Yee. The committee will focus on our needs in System, Management, Accounting, Relational, and Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) and will make recommendations to the board where needed.

- Praise & Worship Team: Sunday Worship at 9:30 am via Zoom.
- Holy Communion: Observation of Holy Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month at 9:30 am via Zoom. Please email your cell phone number or email address to Roberto Chong at robertochong1@yahoo.com if you want to be added on the participant list.
English service, 11:00 am, Pastor David Lim - Live from Las Vegas.
- Invest in Eternity, Philippians 4:15-19. New sermon notes. If you wish to join Communion, please have some juice and cracker or bread ready.
- Please stay on the FLCC YouTube channel and select the worship video streaming after the sermon.
