If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing. -- Malcolm X

Howdy!

We had a great Contributor Day at WordCamp Europe, lots of new contributors, and they did some great work on the documentation team. I also was thrilled to meet Akira Tachibana (team rep on the HelpHub) and Jon Ang (team rep of the documentation team) in our Zoom session, despite the late hour in their time zones. It's so much better to interact via video than just by text chat on Slack.

The WordCamp Europe organizers did a fantastic job, and they made history!  It was the biggest group of people, over 8,000, coming together for a WordCamp from all over the world.

Friday, I only caught half of the Q & A with Matt Mullenweg and Matias Ventura. There were also a ton of questions that went unanswered. Mullenweg opened up his blog to continue Q & A there.

What cool thing have you been working on lately? Let me know, just hit reply.

Have a great weekend!

Yours, 💕
Birgit

PS: Speaking of podcasts and contributing, I had a lovely chat with fellow WCUS 2019 organizer Christina Workman for her podcast wp_contribute. Give it a listen here.

These included an audit of existing components and workflow and planning for how these might be implemented in the new editor." A talk from WordCamp for Publishers.
