It has been wonderful to see greatly larger than usual fields for this time of year since the resumption of golf after the lock down. The old adage "absence makes the heart grow fonder" applies equally well to the game of golf! Due to an unfortunate shoulder injury I have been unable to play, but it has been nice to spend some time on the course and see members enjoying their golf. And meet quite a few new members too!

Men's Foursomes next Saturday
Next Saturday 13th of June is the rescheduled Men's Foursomes Championship, replacing the 1st Round of the Stroud Trophy Stableford Pairs. The 1st and 2nd round of the Stableford Pairs will be played over the following two Saturdays. The Foursomes Championships, which were to be played on May 9th, is played in an alternate shot format. Those familiar with the Foursomes played at the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup and Solheim Cup will know that the format is a true test of team-work and friendships! If you have not arranged a partner please do so, otherwise Anthony may be able to assist you with someone who is looking for one. The field is filling quickly!
