Week 6 Virtual Race & Training Plan
By now you should be feeling fairly comfortable with the training plan routine. If you are not quite at the same comfort level as someone else, don't fret over it. You have made a lot of progress and probably discovered new things about your running ability that you didn't know before. Focus on the positives and keep moving forward, even if that calls for adapting the training plan more to match your schedule and current abilities.
Whether you feel on par or a little behind with the training plan, week 6 is more about building your fitness and endurance levels. The majority of the training plan levels will see decreases in the total time spent at higher intensities, and overall longer durations for each workout. For some this will allow for more recovery, for others it may be a challenge to stay on pace (pushing to fast or not pushing enough). Either way, stay focused as we are almost in the home-stretch of our Virtual Race and Training Plan!
