What to say in this newsletter while our world is in such turmoil?
I could say a lot of things. Me, personally. However, I decided to channel a message from my guides for this newsletter. I’ll be writing a series of blog posts over the summer to address things more deeply. I’ll have links to those in future newsletters.
This is the message I was given last week:
Yes! Everything is in chaos. When you stir water in a bucket and you change directions you get chaos first before the direction fully shifts. You are in that chaos. It doesn’t make it bad. It makes it a choice. You can go either way. What way do you choose? It’s almost 50/50 now – forward, backward. Backward is comfortable. Forward is creating the new. What new world do you want to create? YOU are the creators. We spirits are not. We advise. We don’t have physicality and hands. You do. YOU. Nothing is out of your reach right now. You can create any world you want. ANY. Think you are powerless? You are not. You have ultimate power. It’s in your hands. Do not be afraid to create the most beautiful world you can possibly imagine FOR ALL. ALL BEINGS. Let go of these trappings of the past worlds. Let them go. Let the love flow through you and embrace each other as fellow humans; fellow earth beings. Make the new way. We’ll help but the decision is up to you.
So, this is our task. I would suggest we begin by listening to people who haven’t had a voice: indigenous people, people of color, non-binary people. Really listen. Last week I was remembering a workshop I attended at Susun Weed’s house. It was quite a while ago, maybe 12 or 13 years (maybe longer!). Her workshops started with a talking stick ceremony. If you’re not familiar with that, a special, sacred stick gets passed around. Whoever holds the stick gets to talk, uninterrupted. No advice or comments are given, though you can comment when you get the stick. What this really does is give space to the speaker to speak and it gives space to listeners to listen only – no formulating responses as the speaker speaks. We need this on a societal level right now. We need to let BIPOC speak their truth without a white, reactionary response. Then we all need to formulate a new way forward.
If this is really scary for you, you need to address why. These fears are often related to a need for ancestral healing or healing irrational societal fears. I continue to offer a sliding scale for healings and I do offer ancestral healings. I also know quite a few other practitioners that do as well. Please contact me if you’re interested in what I, or other practitioners, offer. It’s imperative that we get these wounds healed.
Before I leave this topic, I want to recommend Charles Eisenstein’s book, The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible. I love this book so much! Used copies are inexpensive. I highly, highly recommend it.
