First Class Outdoor Dining Options Right in Aberdeen
While we navigate our "new normal" amid the diminishing yet ever-present threat of COVID-19, Aberdeen restaurant owners are brilliantly adapting to the outdoor dining model deemed safe by Governor Hogan just a few days ago. To date, Prost German Restaurant (pictured above is their new "biergarten"), Chaps Pit Beef, La Tolteca, The Green Turtle, the Olive Tree, TB3, and Panera can all safely accommodate you and your family and friends! If we missed one, please email us here!
IronBirds Season Delayed?
This morning, our friends at the Aberdeen IronBirds released a statement that, while they have not yet been advised on the status of the 2020 season, it is increasingly unlikely that Opening Night (June 18th) will continue as scheduled. Fans are encouraged to monitor the official IronBirds website and follow them on social media for the latest news and updates. Season Seat Members will be contacted via email and telephone with updates on the status of their tickets. Stay tuned for more info!
Summer Reading at HCPL
While all Harford County Public Library buildings remain closed, the Aberdeen Library (and all HCPL) will offer "contactless pickup" beginning today from 10AM to 6PM. Simply log in here or create an account and make a reservation. Once you are notified that your reservation is ready, you may set up an appointment for pickup here. Note that our Aberdeen Branch will only offer front door pickup and drivethroughs are exclusively available in Abingdon, Bel Air, Edgewood and Jarretsville.
The Aberdeen Fire Department has discontinued its' birthday drive bys. "We have enjoyed doing them for the kids and hope the kids have enjoyed them as well." Please note that, if you have already scheduled a drive by, the AFD will still be there to celebrate!
Aberdeen Farmers Market Now Open Thursdays 4-7PM
A brilliant sun and crystal clear blue skies greeted hundreds of (socially-distant) patrons who visited Aberdeen’s Farmers Market on Opening Day! After months of solitude, residents and vendors celebrated a triumphant return with selections of local produce, handmade treats and custom creations! Many of our vendors, who prepared for the rush with extra product, still sold out in record time! Thanks to everyone who made Opening Day a stellar success! A special shout-out goes to our gifted musical performer, Ian Carroll, for proving a wholesome melodic atmosphere throughout the evening.  Also thanks to our friends at the Harford County Census Office who were on hand to encourage everyone to participate! Check out some additional images from Opening Day below and we'll see you at the Aberdeen Farmers Market every Thursday from 4-7PM at Festival Park!

Our hearts go out to the countless, hardworking folks in our community who cannot celebrate our "return to normal" due to devastating job loss as a result of the pandemic. If you or someone you know has recently lost a job, there are still great opportunities in/around the Aberdeen area. Check out just a few we received from the diligent team at the Susquehanna Workforce Network (SWN).
This week, the City of Aberdeen's Public Works will be performing annual water main, hydrant flushing and flow testing in REGION 2 (click here for more info). Residents and businesses may experience periodic reduced water pressure, discolored water and possible sediment but the water supply will remain safe to drink.
