We've updated the Coronavirus in South Africa dashboard to show the latest numbers. The Department of Health reported 82 Covid-19-related deaths today, the highest number of daily deaths yet. The total number of deaths have now reached 1,080. 77% of the people who have died have been in the Western Cape. Mpumalanga reported its first death at the weekend, which means every province has now recorded a fatality. Confirmed Covid-19 cases passed the 50,000 mark today
