July 2020

Happy Canada Day! We are closed July 1 for the stat holiday, but are very happy to announce that the library is open to patrons again! We reopened our doors on Monday, June, 22 and it has been so nice to see our lovely patrons again!

We're all missing the Canada Day Parade this year, but here's a throwback from Canada Day 2014 when Siobhan Hall was our library princess in a dress she made out of old book pages!

If you still have library books from before we closed, we would appreciate their return as soon as possible! Both outdoors drop box are available 24/7.
A belated congratulations to all the 2020 DTSS grads!! Especially our two library staff students, Kody Brunner and Jasmine Tuzon, and our weekly volunteer, Josh Bosch!

Congratulations on finishing high school and all the best in your future endeavours!

Summer Reading Club begins on July 9th! Click here to register for weekly take-home kits.
Come pick up your reading logs from July 2nd onward or find one in your first SRC kit!
For kids aged 5-12

Curbside Book Pickup!

Even though our doors are open again, we will be continuing with curbside pickup for the foreseeable future. If you'd prefer contactless pick up, simply call or email and we will place your books outside on the book cart by the front door.

Talk books with other teens across the Kootenays and meet the authors in this online book club! The first half we will have a discussion about the book, and in the second half we will have the author come talk to us!  We can ask them all your questions, find out what inspired the book and discover what they are reading!
