Fruit Gleaning Program 2020

We have decided to go ahead with our fruit gleaning program. We will be making changes to ensure that it is safe and in line with current government regulations.

We know how much our volunteers enjoy the program and how the community partners rely on donations, and we would hate to see all the fruit go to waste.

We will be sanitizing our equipment, providing gloves and working in smaller groups to keep our volunteers and homeowners safe.

If you want to learn more about our program here.

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer or continuing to be a volunteer, please email coordinator@richmondfoodsecurity.org

You can help as a fruit picker or a fruit captain.

Fruit Tree Owners

If you are located in Richmond and have a fruit that you would like to have picked, please fill out the form below.

We'll organize a group to come and we can leave a box of picked fruit when we leave. It can be zero contact to keep it safe.

Please provide as much information as you can about the tree. How many trees and how full of fruit they are and roughly when you expect the fruit to be ripe or when it has been ripe in the past.
