It is very sad to announce that Sr. Nona Razeena Fernando, mother of Aruna Anderson has passed away in Sarnia yesterday. This is a non-Covid related death.
"To him we belong and to him we shall return"

Salat-ul-Janaaza for her will be offered at SMA mosque at 5:00 pm today and burial will take place around 5:30pm at the Resurrection Cemetery on London Line, Sarnia.
The procedure for Salat will be similar of what has been in place for Friday prayer. Mosque capacity is 42 (30 brothers & 12 sisters) in the upper hall. In case we have more attendees coming in, we will be using basement area with 2m distancing. Pre-screening questions will be asked and names with phone numbers will be recorded of the attendees for contact tracing purposes.Those who are sick or elderly above 70y and kids below 12y are requested not to attend.
Some reminders as follows:
- Bring your own prayer mat.
- Bring your mask and wear it at all times.
- Ensure 2m social distancing
- Use hand sanitizers at the entrance
At the Cemetery the maximum limit is 50 people. Physical distancing and mask use is also required.
We ask Allah SWT to shower her with his mercy and to give the family patience.
