So a funny thing happened...our Crash Map crashed. Some of you might have been missing it as a resource for looking up crashes that involve pedestrians and cyclists in Monroe County.
Thanks to Brendan Ryan for bringing us this fresh new design, and Mike Governale for getting it back up on our website.

(in case you missed it...)
On June 10, we hosted a 3-hour virtual Complete Streets Training attended by 60 public officials, planners, engineers and advocates. Justin Booth of GObike Buffalo led a discussion about the benefits of active mobility and complete streets, and how we can make our roads safe for people of all ages and abilities. Thanks to the New York Bicycling Coalition, NYSERDA and NYS DOH for making this training possible!
Watch a presentation by Transportation Specialist Darin Ramsay on the City's current and upcoming bike and pedestrian infrastructure projects. Kudos to Rochester Cycling Alliance for hosting and Darin for being generous with his time!
Advocacy Action
Reconnect Rochester works day in and day out to advocate for the things we all care about, like a robust public transportation system, streets that are safe for everyone, and a community that's built to be multi-modal.
HERE ARE SOME ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS:
SHORT TERM RELIEF FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Sign this petition calling on Congress to provide more relief funding for transit authorities facing dire financial situations due to plummeting ridership.
DRIVERS PRE-LICENSING REQUIREMENT: Contact your NYS legislators to express support for the legislative bill that would require instruction in pedestrian and bicyclist safety as part of the drivers pre-licensing course.
DRIVE 2B BETTER: Show your support for safe roads in Rochester by displaying one, two or three Drive 2B Better signs on your front lawn. Order your sign(s) here today!
