City of Cincinnati Has Expanded Budget Hearings for Public Input
Last week, some members of UACC attended the sessions to express concerns for funding health and social services and more affordable housing, especially for the homeless. We are especially concerned about making testing and treatment services available to all communities. Be sure to follow us on social media and share our newsletter so we can push these current and future hearings to our community. Be on the look out for more public input hearings such as this one.

Just Mercy - FREE online streaming through the month of June

As our nation responds to the racially-motivated killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other black men and women, we are called to deepen our understanding of the racism endemic to our systems and structures, including our system of capital punishment.

UACC invites you to stream the award-winning film, Just Mercy, starring Micael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx and Brie Larson. This film is based on the life work of civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson.

If you can commit to watching the film in the next few days (or if you have already seen it), the Catholic Mobilizing Network invites you to participate in a communal reflection on Thursday, June 18th from 3:00-4:30 PM for a CMN Just Mercy Virtual Reflection and Discussion via Zoom. The discussion will focus on the film and explore ways to dismantle racism in our systems and structures—and within ourselves.
