The City of Sausalito's multi-year effort to update the City's General Plan is entering the final stages. If you haven't yet been involved in the update process, it's not too late to make your voice heard by completing an online survey and participating in a virtual workshop on Saturday, June 20.
You can share your thoughts on specific policies in the updated General Plan, including climate adaptation strategies and the future of the waterfront, by taking the brief online survey before June 20. Please forward the survey link to family, friends, and neighbors who live in Sausalito.
On Saturday, June 20 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, the City will host a virtual community workshop on Zoom to discuss the Public Review Draft of the General Plan. Input received from members of the public, including the survey results, will be provided to the City Council in advance of its discussion of the Public Review Draft at the Council meeting on July 7.
The Zoom link for the June 20 workshop is us02web.zoom.us/j/405295283. Advance registration is not required. You may also dial into the meeting by phone using the call-in number (669) 900-9833 and entering the meeting ID 4052952836#.
For additional information about the community workshop on June 20, the City's consulting team has created a 16-minute video introduction that includes an overview of the planning process and the key components of the update.
The City Council is scheduled to consider adoption of the General Plan in October 2020. More information about the General Plan Update can be found by visiting sausalitogeneralplan.org.
