Overnight closure on southbound US 54
to remove overhead sign structure

EL PASO, Texas — The removal of an overhead steel sign structure will require a complete one night closure of southbound US 54. Elsewhere, motorists are also encouraged to use extra caution when traveling on US 62 (Paisano Drive) between US 54 and I-10 due to recent changes in traffic patterns there.

• The on-ramp which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 north of Pershing Drive will be closed to all traffic.
• DETOUR: Enter southbound US 54 south of Pershing Drive. 

• Alternating lane closures will be in place on US 62/180 (Paisano Drive) at I-10.

• Latta Street has re-opened to two-way traffic at Paisano.
• Traffic will be able to enter Latta Street by turning right from westbound Paisano only.
• Traffic will be able to exit Latta Street by turning right onto westbound Paisano only.
• Gateway Boulevard South has temporarily closed between Paisano and Findley Avenue.
• All traffic leaving the Bridge of the Americas must come to a complete stop before entering eastbound Paisano.
• All traffic leaving the Bridge of the Americas must continue on eastbound Paisano to Gateway Boulevard North before turning left or making a u-turn.
• No left turns or u-turns are permitted from eastbound Paisano at the temporary Customs and Border Protection Driveway or at Gateway South. 

About the I-10 Connect Project

The I-10 Connect project is at the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 54 in El Paso County. The project extends from I-10 to Loop 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway) and provides access to the Bridge of the Americas (BOTA) via I-110. The $96 million project includes the construction of four new direct connectors, a full reconstruction of the I-110/US 62 (Paisano Drive) interchange, and removes exit ramps from US 62 to I-110.

I-10 Connect will improve connectivity between I-10 and Loop 375, also providing an alternate route to I-10. It started February 19, 2019, and is expected to be complete in less than three years.

EL PASO, Texas —Remover la estructura de acero de un señalamiento superior arriba de la autopista representa cerrar por completo US 54 Sur. De igual manera, se les recomienda a los automovilistas viajar con precaucion en US 62 (Paisano Drive) entre US 54 y I-10 debido a los cambios recientes en los patrones viales en la zona.

• Cierran US 54 entre I-10 y US 62 (Paisano Drive).
• DESVIACIÓN: Tomar Salida 21A (I-10 East/Van Horn), de I-10 tomar Salida 23B (US 62/180/Calle Chelsea), doblar a la derecha en Paisano, derecha en Gateway Boulevard Norte, izquierda en SH 20 (Avenida Alameda), izquierda en Circuito 478 (Calle Copia), derecha en Paisano y retornar en Calle Raynor.

Cuadrillas remuevan la estructura de un señalamiento superior.

• Cierran la rampa que conecta Gateway Boulevard Sur con US 54 Sur al norte de Pershing Drive.
• DESVIACIÓN: Tomar US 54 Sur al sur de Pershing Drive. 

• Alternan cierres de carriles en US 62/180 (Paisano Drive) sobre I-10.

• El único ingreso a Calle Latta es por medio de vuelta a la derecha de Paisano Drive Oeste.
• La única salida de la Calle Latta es por medio de vuelta a la derecha hacia Paisano Drive Oeste.
• Gateway Boulevard Sur ha sido temporalmente cerrado entre Paisano Drive y Avenida Findley.
• Todo tráfico que sale del Puente Internacional de las Américas debe frenar totalmente y parar antes de ingresar al Paisano Este.
• Todo tráfico que sale del Puente Internacional de las Américas No se permitirá doblar a la izquierda ni retornar de Paisano Este desde la aduana temporal ni de Sur. 

• Las Rampas F y G que conectan I-10 a Cd. Juárez sobre Spaghetti Bowl permanecen con desvios por US 54 Norte hacia Pershing Drive hasta nuevo aviso
• I-110, la corta autopista que conduce hacia el Puente Internacional de las Américas, permanece cerrada por debajo de Paisano Drive.
• La rampa de US 54 Sur hacia US 62 (Paisano Drive) permanece cerrada hasta nuevo aviso.
• Los dos retornos en US-62 (Paisano Drive) por debajo del US 54 permanecen cerrados hasta nuevo aviso
• Cierres intermitentes de carriles en Gateway Boulevard Este entre Piedras y 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
• Cierres intermitentes en Gateway Boulevard Oeste entre Calles Boone y Palm.
