Rabbit control in Willandra Lakes 

Last week a newsletter was distributed to the Willandra Landholders Alliance to provide an update on the work achieved to date and what is on the horizon. Staff wishing to read the newsletter can do so by clicking here

Ticking off EOFY jobs 
  • Ensure all admin such as time sheets, leave requests, vehicle log sheets and Expense8 is always up-to-date. 
  • The recording period for flex leave closed on 21 June. Please ensure your time sheets are up to date and your flex sheet is submitted this week. 
Check your contact details 

Please take a moment to check (and possibly update) your contact details in the staff contact spreadsheet. If you need any changes to your details on the website let Charlie know. 
Staff are also asked to have their contact details up to date on Workplace, as well as a profile picture.

Still time to promote our upcoming webinar 

There is one week to go until our next webinar which is on Monday 29 June. The webinar will focus on an introduction to planning growing seasons in Western NSW with Dick Richardson of Growing Naturally signed on to present. Staff movements

Farewell Natalie and Jess

A couple of fond farewells this week as we say goodbye to Natalie Prisk and and Jess van de Weyer. Tuesday is Natalie's last day having reached the end of her contract (maternity leave for Jacinta) while Jess' last day is Wednesday having come to the end of her six month contract and choosing to move on. We wish both Natalie and Jess all the best.

Staff are reminded to ensure leave requests are entered in MyHQ and approval is received prior to taking leave.

Movements of the Ops Team

Erlina Compton


Erlina has a number of meetings on this week including a catch-up with the EPBC with the Land Management team on Tuesday, Fencing Norther Basin project catch up, Barkandji ILUA meeting, mentor catch up, Cobar office refurbishment meeting, inclusion training and a decarbonisation meeting with NSW DPI.

Michelle Johnson

Michelle has a Broken Hill office meeting, will complete the next round of inclusion training, go through a separation checklist with Natalie, staff workshop meeting, Finance and Monitoring whole team monthly development catch-up, Cobar office refurbishment meeting and an Manager's of Business and Finance meeting. Michelle will also be doing a number of tasks for the EOFY. 

Andrew Hull

Hully will be working on the 2020-21 Operations Plan and project management systems, team one on ones and Western Division Shires program planning. 

Ben Slingsby 

Ben will be attending meetings throughout the week and working on a number of reports. Ben will also be working with Charles on a White Spaces (wild dogs and general biosecurity duty) plan with Charles. 


Gemma Turnbull

Gemma has a number of meetings on Monday, she has inclusion training on Tuesday as well as a Ag Team Leaders meeting. Other work for the week includes chasing up invoices, reports and milestones, tidying up reporting in IRIS, ICT training, working on EMU EOI documents and progressing recruitment. 

Mitch Plumbe

Mitch has a number of meetings on Monday, will do some bird project planning, project completions and reporting. 

Tim Wall

Tim will be in meetings on Monday, on Tuesday he will be delivering 1080 baits to Ivanhoe and will be back in the office for the rest of the week completing admin and EOFY tasks. 

Tanya Cooper

Tanya is in meetings all day Monday, on Tuesday she will attend an EPBC workshop with the Commonwealth and for the rest of the week will be reviewing recruitment applications and catching up with her team.
