In honor of Juneteenth, science educators from the Carnegie Science Center will be on Facebook Live discussing Black scientists and STEM trailblazers who inspire them, including Mae Jemison, Katherine Johnson, Oneeka Williams, and more.

Join the Western Pennsylvania Juneteenth Celebration, along with a number of local historians and educators for a live-streamed walk exploring Black historic landmarks throughout the city.
- Friday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m.: Liberty Magic @ Home Black Lives Matter Episode
Experience magic at home with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's Liberty Magic @ Home. This week, hosted by Eric Jones, Liberty Magic will showcase magicians Ran’D Shine and The Evasons in a discussion around social injustice within the community of magic theatre and cultural appropriation in the history of the performance of magic. It's the debut of a brand new comedy show from the Frances Brothers, featuring special guests Frankly Scarlett and Sara Kantner!

The first-ever online Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival is a free special event curated by the August Wilson African American Cultural Center that will feature legendary jazz artists from around the world, including Sean Jones, Dianne Reeves, The Bad Plus, and more. Additionally, enjoy a look back at the festival's first ten years.
- Sunday, June 21 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Make Music Day 2020
Enjoy a full day of live music from the Pittsburgh community as part of Make Music Day Pittsburgh. This free, all-day celebration includes performances, virtual activities, classes, and more.

- Shop local produce, products, and more at the 11th Street (Market Square) Farmers Market this Sunday
The 11th Street Farmers Market continues in a new location near the Convention Center to facilitate increased social distancing and pedestrian access while providing access to locally-grown produce and goods. The event is free, and limited free parking is also available. Also, hot food will now be served and is allowed to be eaten on-site.

Walk the Burgh and Bike the Burgh Tours have begun again, offering small tour sizes to allow for social distancing while teaching you about the history and fun facts of the city.

Get outside and easily grab a Healthy Ride bike to enjoy a socially-distanced outdoor tour of Pittsburgh's three rivers.

The Andy Warhol Museum has gone digital! Explore the artist's iconic works, learn about the history of the museum, and more.
- Learn about the elements of storytelling with Penny Arcade

CELEBRATING JUNETEENTH IN PITTSBURGH WITH VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON EVENTS
While this year's Western PA Juneteenth & Black Music Festival has been postponed until the end of August, there are a number of in-person and online events that will still be happening this weekend to celebrate the holiday.
Virtually, join historians and educators for a Facebook Live walking tour of historic Black landmarks in and around Downtown this Friday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m. Starting at Point State Park, the walk will include a history of Pittsburgh as stories are told to illustrate everything from the colonial era and the Underground Railroad to the history of the Hill District. Additionally, on Friday morning, join the Carnegie Science Center for an online discussion of Black scientists and STEM trailblazers, including Mae Jemison, Katherine Johnson, Leland Melvin, and more.

This Saturday, June 20 at 12:00 p.m., enjoy the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival with their first-ever online event!
Curated by the August Wilson African American Cultural Center in collaboration with award-winning musician Sean Jones, the virtual event will feature legendary jazz musicians from around the world.
This year, look for a live performance by local Pittsburgh artists, special tributes, and a look back at archival interviews and footage from the Festival’s first 10 years.
Featured musicians include Dianne Reeves, The Bad Plus, Laurin Talese, Jeff Watts, Brett Williams, Lakecia Benjamin, and more.
