'BEYOND WALLS'
Geneva, Switzerland

"Is that real?!" That was my first thought when I saw the above image today on Bing (see Note below), featured to honor World Refugee Day. Yes, it's real and it's part of an art installation project called Beyond Walls, this one in Geneva Switzerland, started by the French artist Saype in 2019. His aim is to symbolically create the largest human chain in the world. Saype is self-taught and paints on grass with a process and a 100% biodegradable paint that he invented. His worldwide frescoes are created to put art in service to the human being in an optimistic and poetic way. Wow!

Visit Saype-Artist to learn more about his story and his work.

BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, TEXAS
Big Bend National Park covers more than 800,000 acres in West Texas along the Mexico border. Due to its remote location, there is little light pollution resulting in this amazing image. Big Bend is also designated as an international dark sky park.

NOTE
Bing, a search engine owned by Microsoft, is my go-to site for one reason: every day on their homepage an image is featured from somewhere in the universe that makes me pause. Big Bend was featured on June 12. It was also the image I was going to feature until I saw the Beyond Borders image today. One image makes me wonder, the other puts that wonder to work.

Imagine what we can do!

In love and light,
Debbie Jenae
