Watch this video for more information about Good Shepherd's plans for reuniting safely!
Dear Good Shepherd Family,

It is time to be REUNITED! For the past two weekends, we have done trial runs to test our plans to begin in-person worship services again. We have worked out some of the bugs and are ready for the next step with God’s help! We are so looking forward to experiencing again what the early church experienced: “All the believers were together…praising God…” (Acts 2:44, 47).

Starting THIS WEEKEND (6/20-21), we will be having in-person services at all our normal services times (5pm Saturday, and 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30am Sunday). Please REGISTER you and/or your family for the service you plan to attend. Registration for each service will be LIMITED at first and available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register online (by clicking here) or by calling the church office for assistance.

During this time of limited registration, not everyone will be able to attend each week. As a result, we are making registration available for the next three weeks. Please pick ONE WEEK out the next three and register for ONE SERVICE from that week. Please only register for one week out of the next three to give everyone a chance to attend at least once over the next three weeks. Here is the plan for the next three weeks:
  • 6/20-21 (Father’s Day weekend) – Prodigal Pt. 2, The Prodigal Son
  • 6/27-28 (Patriotic weekend) – General Boykin (guest speaker)
  • 7/4-5 – Prodigal Pt. 3, The Prodigal World
Here is the registration link: Register Now!
Here is the number for the church office: (503)663-5050

For anyone not able to attend in person for any given week, we will broadcast our services over Facebook, YouTube and our website as we have done for the past few months.

As always, we want to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40) and do what we can to protect the health and wellbeing of others. We each have a personal responsibility in this, and we encourage you to prayerfully consider how to act in faith and love as God leads you.

Here are some guidelines we plan to follow:
  • limiting the size of gatherings to achieve physical distancing
  • creating a “touchless” experience as much as possible to avoid the spread of germs (e.g. no bulletins, propping open doors, no shared food or drink stations, etc.)
  • providing at least one “masks-required” service for those who want it
  • requesting that anyone with a fever or other viral symptoms stay home
  • continuing to provide online services for those who choose to stay home
  • recommending and providing masks
  • providing adequate hand sanitizer stations, and
  • regularly disinfecting commonly touched surfaces
We will limit the size of our gatherings by limiting registration and by providing seating in three separate areas in the church – the South Auditorium, the North Auditorium and the Summit Room. The worship and preaching will happen in the South and will be projected through a live feed into the North and Summit. The 8:30am Sunday service in the North will be MASKS-REQUIRED. Please watch this video for some additional logistics: watch the video here.

We will not be providing in-person Good Shepherd Kids gatherings at this stage of our reopening. Feel free to bring your kids with you or continue to worship with us from home for now.

We are beyond excited to see all of you and more fully live out Hebrews 10:23-25: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

In His grace,

Your Executive Pastors,
Steve Keels, Paul Norquist & Greg Cahalan
