WEDC We're All In Small Business Grant

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) recently launched the 'We're All In' grant initiative and will start accepting on-line applications on June 15th. Funded by the CARES Act, the grants will help small businesses with the costs of business interruption or for health and safety improvements, wages and salaries, rent, mortgages and inventory. The program will provide $2,500 grants to 30,000 small businesses. Applications are accepted on-line until 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, June 23. 

A business may apply for the We're All In Small Business Grant if it:
  • Was in business in February 2020. Businesses that started in 2020 are not eligible;
  • Is Wisconsin-based and for-profit;
  • Employs 20 or fewer full-time equivalent (FTE) employees, including the owner; and
  • Has more than $0 but less than $1 million in annual revenues.
Businesses will not be eligible for the grants if they are:
  • Part of a national chain, unless the business is a third-party franchise;
  • Industries covered by other Wisconsin CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund programs are ineligible for this program. These are: Crop Production, Animal Production or Aquaculture, and Lessors of Residential Buildings and Dwellings
To prepare for the online application process, businesses should be ready to upload the following documents to the WEDC application:
  • 2018 or 2019 federal tax return for business.
  • Signed W-9 form
  • An email or letter of acknowledgement from a community organization indicating your business was in operation in February 2020.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
LOCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS AND
NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT
FOR IDENTIFYING A CORRIDOR FOR
THE SOUTH BRIDGE CONNECTOR
BETWEEN COUNTY EB/F IN THE TOWN OF LAWRENCE AND
COUNTY GV/X IN THE TOWN OF LEDGEVIEW
BROWN COUNTY

 
ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are advised that Brown County and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public hearing as provided by law to consider the location and environmental aspects for identifying a corridor for the South Bridge Connector between County EB/F in the Town of Lawrence to County GV/X in the Town of Ledgeview in Brown County, Wisconsin.
 

Two options for public hearing participation:

  • The virtual public hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 via YouTube Live from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A link and call-in number to the virtual public hearing will be available on the project website listed above. All materials will be available on the project website and a recording of the hearing will be available on the project website shortly after the hearing.
  • The in-person public hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the Brown County Fairgrounds at 1500 Fort Howard Ave, De Pere, WI 54115. The public hearing will be conducted from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interested persons may attend anytime between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to review displays and other hearing materials, ask questions, and provide private or public testimony.

The Village of Suamico has challenged Brown County Government municipalities to a friendly inter-governmental competition where everyone wins by obtaining a 100% Census response rate! The 2020 U.S. Census will determine congressional representation, direct hundreds of billions in annual federal funding, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. Here is the most up-to-date Census response data of some municipalities in Brown County (6/14/20).

Water Bills Due July 11th

Ledgeview offers several ways of no-contact payments of water bills:

  1. Online: If you would like to make payment via credit card using our online payment service, please click on Utility Payment.
  2. Direct Payment: Sign up to pay your utility bills through ACH. To use this easy, secure and convenient option, download the form here:  Authorization for Direct Payment of Utility Bills.
  3. Mail: Send your payment to: Ledgeview Sanitary District No. 2, 3700 Dickinson Road, De Pere, WI
  4. In Person: Drop off payments 24/7 in the secured drop box located to the left of the vestibule at the Ledgeview Town Office at 3700 Dickinson Road.
  5. In Person: Drop off at the service desk at Larry’s Piggly Wiggly, located at 575 Swan Road. (Checks only, no cash.)
Private Well Permits due August 11th
Residents with private wells received a town letter indicating wells need to be inspected for the permit to be issued. Both forms below are also required.
Payments, inspection report, and forms are due on or before August 11th.  
Town Offices will be closed Friday, July 3rd in observance of the 4th of July Holiday.
