Stay Connected!

Issue 7

Hello <<First Name>>,

As we move back into Ordinary time within the Liturgical calendar, we are also taking steps along the roadmap to reopenning.

This "Stay Connected! e-letter" brings you news of initiatives in the Pastoral Area of Greystones and Kilquade in conjunction with information on the parish websites.

Spread the word among your family, friends and neighbours so they are aware of upcoming changes. Encourage them to sign up for this e-Letter, or for those not connected technically, tell them about what you read.

Let us continue to reach beyond the walls of the physical buildings, caring for and connecting with our faith community.

Weekend Liturgy

Today we return to Liturgical Ordinary Time and resume it on this the Twelfth week in Ordinary time.

What is ordinary time in this time of instability where everyone feels the sense of upheaval and unpredictability.  Fear is totally understandable.

From a “church” point of view, we wonder what will church be like in the coming months and years.

And yet, as we move back into the reading of the Gospel of Matthew we hear Jesus tell His disciples; ‘Do not be afraid….everything now hidden will be made clear’.

At the centre stands not my condition or even my faith, but all that God did for us in Jesus’ death and resurrection.

As Paul exclaims who will (or can) separate us from the love of God in Christ?.

Tune in to the webcam before 11:30 am to hear the welcome.
The Scripture readings are available daily and for Sunday.

Regathering Community - The Long View
As the country begins to open up commercially and socially, we also are working towards resuming our public Masses as soon as that is feasible.
Like in all areas, we are not going back to something that was,
we are going forward to something new.

Join us at 11:30 Mass this Sunday to hear more and keep in touch with information on the websites.
The Survey - An Acknowledgement
Thank you to all who participated in a survey last weekend.
We had 202 respondents to our survey on Resuming the Public Services of the Parishes of Greystones and Kilquade.
Initial feedback is available on the website.
We Have A Challenge Ahead

All of this news of progress is really encouraging but it also means that we have a challenge which, as a community, we need to address.

It is going to be different for everyone since the last time we were in a church building.

We need people. We need YOU, a lot of you... to help gather others and to prepare and protect the prayer space.

With YOU this challenge will be met.
Please put your name forward to be part of a team that will enable is to gather, to pray together, to live out the Eucharist in that moment and in our daily lives.
Read on for more information.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation
