Hello All,

Things have been progressing nicely so we opened the building to the public on Wednesday the 17th. Our planned opening day will be Monday the 22nd but we wanted to start quietly to make sure we had all the procedures in place before we made an announcement. We have also restored our normal hours of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday, 10:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Curbside service will still be available to those that wish it, and we want to thank everyone that helped make our start with curbside so painless. The fact that things went so smoothly is a big factor in our decision to allow people into the building at this time.

When entering the building you will be required to wear a mask and social distance. We will also ask that if you are going to browse our collection that you use the hand sanitizer provided before you handle any materials. The Governor has lifted the restrictions on the number of people allowed into libraries based on square footage in regions 6 and 8 but we will be enforcing social distancing so we may ask people to wait outside to allow everyone plenty of space and then encourage people in the building not to loiter too long.
Select computers are available with room in between. If we start to get a back up of people wishing to use the computers we will return to our prior policy of limiting use to one hour. All of our printing, copying, scanning, and faxing services are now also available.

The Munnecke Room is available for use but we are not yet encouraging it. Any group will that uses the room will be responsible for attendees using masks and social distancing. Based on the size of the room we have calculated that there can be no more than 25 people allowing for a six foot space between each person.

All items that were checked out before our COVID-19 shutdown will now become due on Monday the 22nd. If for some reason you cannot get them back to us by then, please give us a call, or email Jake at: circulationdesk@lelandtownshiplibrary.org.
