EDMONTON- Edmonton International Street Performers Festival is back, and is in the house! Because laughter is the best medicine and physical distancing is the reality, join the best of the best local, national, and international street performers for the first-ever virtual version of the annual summer tradition.

"We hope you enjoy our new for 2020 and memories from over the years shows in the Troupe Zone, learn a new skill and have a ton of fun with our Play@Home Workshops, and share one of your favourite StreetFest memories in our Share Zone," says Artistic Producer Shelley Switzer. "If you wish and if you can, you would be welcome to make a donation to the Edmonton StreetFest through our website."

Artists have been paid to participate in this year’s virtual festival.

Troupe Zone

On the StreetFest website home page, watch street performers from around the world perform five original shows and five tribute performances. There will be an online Troupe presentation each day from July 3 to 12.

Play@Home Zone

Check into this virtual zone throughout the Festival and participate in workshops with some of your favourite street performers. There will be dance contests, balloon making, juggling, hula hoop lessons, magic tricks, and clowning.

Share Zone

Finally, the Share Zone is the place to see photos and videos of past Festivals and where we want to hear from YOU. Tell us a memory, send us a photo or a video, take part in any one of our contests (some GREAT prizes are in the works).

Donations are gratefully accepted online at Edmonton Streetfest.com. Help celebrate the 36th year of the Festival with a virtual pass-the-hat donation. Whether it’s $6, $36 or $360, every donation will be gratefully accepted. A Tax receipt will be provided for any donation amount greater than $25.
