I'd love to share a success!
As you know, I am a voice and performance coach for Career Invigorating Speaking. Tuesday, for the fifth year, I presented "Ace Your Interviews and Presentations" to undergrads at The Duke Institute for Brain Sciences.
The students learned speaking skills - how to eliminate nervousness, rambling, sentence restarts and filler words such as uh, um and you know. These mistakes make someone sound uncomfortable and less competent.
Students practiced exercises to loosen their word flow, tell stories, and speak intelligently on the spot. They learned good eye contact, powerful body language, and how to give to listeners. They participated in mock interviews with positive peer feedback. The students said the workshop was interesting, helpful and fun!

This is great to learn and practice storytelling skills....essential for becoming memorable! We'll warm up and do several InterPlay forms using storytelling, movement, and sound.
