Utility software developer Gentrack sank 6.25%. Today, executive chairman John Clifford announced he would resign due to health issues. Also, Gentrack would be relegated out of the NZX 50 with Napier Port taking its place. Napier Port shares went up 10.48%

Augusta Capital surged 30.66% after ASX-listed Centuria Capital made another bid to acquire Augusta, this time at $1 a share in cash and scrip. The initiative was promising despite the offer being half what it was before the pandemic. While it is not the $2 a share that was bid pre-covid, things have changed.

Air NZ dropped 6.79% after it forecast an underlying loss of up to $120 million in the June year, down from a $374 million profit in 2019. That was before more than half a billion dollars of one-off costs.  Some retail investors realised that the government loan could convert to equity in which case your ownership dilutes very close to zero.

Research analysts at Jarden today downgraded the airline to 'underperform' and set a target price of 85 cents. A note to clients said that without a capital injection the airline would have to begin using the government’s $900 million loan in financial year 2021.

Pacific Edge surged 130.77% after the bladder cancer specialist said one of the largest non-profit healthcare providers in the US has accepted its Cxbladder tests for use by its urologists. Kaiser Permanente has more than 12 million members and its acceptance of the testing regime is an important breakthrough for the company’s entry to the US market.

Tourism Holdings shed 14.29% after the news that new covid-19 cases had been found in New Zealand.

Pushpay rose 14.4% after it increased its profit guidance by US$2 million. A lot of brokers had increased their target prices on the stock.

Turners jumped 12.77% it declared a final dividend of 6 cents. The company reported an 1% improvement in underlying profit driven largely by solid performances across its finance and credit management businesses.

Eroad rose 11.9% after reporting a 32% lift in annual revenue. The company said it expects slower growth in recessionary conditions through the 2021 financial year.
