Forward Forward
Thanks to our Prelate Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, our Parish is now receiving weekly messages from clergy throughout our Prelacy.

This week Der Taniel Manjikian, who has visited our parish multiple times, shares his loving words with us. Thank you Srpazan Hayr for keeping us nourished, and thanks to Der Taniel for this wonderful message!
For the past two Sunday's Altar servers and Choir members have gathered at our church for morning services. Click the link above to view today's morning service on our Facebook page!
Every year our Prelacy holds the St. Gregory of Datev Institute. This year, due to the circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Prelacy’s St. Gregory of Datev Institute will hold a condensed online Summer Program for youth ages 13-18 from June 29 to July 3, 2020, instead of its regular sessions at St. Mary of Providence Center in Elverson, Pennsylvania.

There will be an hour-long class (11 am to noon), Monday to Friday, which will include a brief church service, followed by mini-sessions on the Bible, Armenian Church history, and a panel discussion on current issues.

It has been years since our parish had a student take part. This is a wonderful opportunity and it is easier than ever to participate. We invite and encourage our youth to take part in this unique Christian educational program.

As registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, please send your contact information (name, address, phone number, email address, and DOB) to Deacon Shant Kazanjian at shant@armenianprelacy.org. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Shant by email or at 212-689-7810.
Bible Readings
Bible Readings for Sunday, June 14th Second Sunday after Pentecost; Feast of Holy Etchmiadzin are: Proverbs 9: 1-6; Zechariah 3:7-4:9; Hebrews 9:1-10; John 10:22-30

The Epistle Reading
Hebrews 9: 1-10

Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly sanctuary. For a tent was constructed, the first one, in which were the lampstand, the table, and the bread of the Presence; this is called the Holy Place. Behind the second curtain was a tent called the Holy of Holies. In it stood the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which there were a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot speak now in detail.

Such preparations having been made, the priests go continually into the first tent to carry out their ritual duties; but only the high priest goes into the second, and he but once a year, and not without taking the blood that he offers for himself and for the sins committed unintentionally by the people. By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the sanctuary has not yet been disclosed as long as the first tent is still standing. This is a symbol of the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, but deal only with food and drink and various baptisms, regulations for the body imposed until the time comes to set things right.

The Gospel Reading
John 10:22-30
At that time the festival of the Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered, I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.

Parish Stewardship Program

"Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
" ~ 2 Corinthians 9:7

Our Faith should be the foundation of everything we do. When we build off of a strong foundation, and grow in our generosity, we are pleasing to our almighty Father. God loves a cheerful giver. These words are simple, yet powerful. It is in this vein that we invite you to partner with your fellow parishioners and help spread the joy that is found in Jesus Christ. Your support today will ensure our parish can continue to spread His message of love for years to come. We ask that you prayerfully consider supporting us in our mission.

Our Recent Stewardship
Recent donation information will be available in a future weekly bulletin.

Weekly expense from 2019 approved budget: $ 2,600

By presenting each week's income/expense figures, we would like to stress the importance of Stewardship. Stewardship is based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus. It is a way of thanking God for all the blessings He has given us by returning to Him a portion of our time, talent and treasure. Stewardship can change the spiritual lives of both individuals and the parish as a whole.
