Library Takeout Service
Library Take-0ut graphic
The Mayne Island Library will open for our new "Holds/Pick up Service" (Takeout Service) Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am until 12 noon, beginning Wed. June 17.  If this works, we will likely continue this type of service into the summer months.

To Place a Hold: You will need internet access to the catalogue, your library card number and PIN number to place a hold on a book. (You can request a PIN or reset your PIN by following the instructions on the library site.). What to do?  Google "Mayne Island Library", click on "Mayne", go to the catalogue to find your book and follow the instructions to place your "hold".  You may request up to 5 titles.  Do this several days before pick up, as the "holds" list will be processed a day in advance of pick up dates. Parents can call Judi Walker at (250) 539 2208 if you need assistance choosing books for your children.

OR: Email the library mipl@shaw.ca, with your name and titles of your choice. You can also phone the library, (250) 539-2597, Wednesdays and Saturdays 10 am to 12 noon to request your books. Be aware that this last option may not be processed until the following library day as volunteers will be busy with the pick up schedule.

Pick up: You will be phoned and given a designated pick up time slot.  Please do not come to the library until you receive a phone call.  You need to bring ID to show the volunteer. Worksafe BC protocols for distancing will be posted and in place.  Please wear a non-medical face mask.

*More detailed information is in the June Mayneliner, on Facebook and the library website. For further information please contact Marilyn Winterbottom, maynland@shaw.ca.
