WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DISINFECTANTS, SANITIZERS, AND CLEANERS?

Cleaners use soap or detergents to physically remove dirt, dust, other soils. While cleaners do not kill germs, they do remove them. Sanitizers reduce bacteria on a surface by at least 99.9% while disinfectants kill bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew, and fungi.

Manufacturers' Price Increases:

DIVERSEY – Implementing a temporary 6% product cost surcharge applied only to specific infection prevention chemical products effective March 18th.

WESTBOND INDUSTRIES – Effective March 20th, a price increase on Bathroom Tissue only of 10%.

RONCO – Selected Disposable Glove price increase between 5% and 21% effective April 15th. Until further notice, they will issue amendments to price lists by the 15th of each month, providing 45 days notice effective for the 1st of the month following the notice period (e.g. April 15th for June 1st).

VILEDA PROFESSIONAL – With a major impact on the cost of goods, an increase on brooms, mops, buckets, and other related cleaning tools will be effective July 1st and it will average 5%. 

HOSPECO – Costs are changing daily and significantly on all disposable gloves and select PPE items. Effective May 15th expect an 8% to 22% price increase on gloves, coveralls and hairnets.
