President Price marked Juneteeth as a day of celebration and reflection for the Duke community. The president also outlined future steps to help address racism and inequality at the university in a letter to students, staff and faculty.
“These actions are only a starting point,” Price wrote. “Righting the wrongs of history will take time, and our efforts will need to be focused and sustained."
