Make a Ripple Effect - Be a Pebble
Many of our minds, hearts and spirits are in a whirlwind as we experience a myriad of feelings in response to what’s going on in today’s world. Although living in uncertain, historic challenging times can be deeply unsettling, it can also bring about positive, meaningful, and systemic changes that can affect us all.
These historic times can help us elevate our collective consciousness and ignite unshakable unity. Let’s not let this time go by like a firecracker that explodes and is gone as soon as its smoke dissipates in the sky. Instead, let’s help propel this global movement into a sustainable call to action that will turn the tide of humanity for the good. Of course, there is already so much good in the world, and so let’s please be grateful every day for the blessings that we have in our lives.
We have what it takes to bring all of us together in harmony and peace. It begins within each one of us, in our homes, communities, states, countries and our world, to create a paradigm shift to a better, more unifying and inclusive place for us all to live happier, peaceful and more meaningful lives.
What else needs to happen to help remind us that we are better together and are more alike than not alike? We all smile in the same language. We all want to be heard and respected. We all face challenges and difficult times. However, we can transcend these times to a better way of living, thinking and being.
Let’s celebrate both our differences and sameness. We have seen the tremendous courage of everyday heroes making positive, life-altering differences in the lives of others on many levels. We all have it within us to create a ripple effect of goodness.
How? Here are a few ways. Be kind to people and animals, help those who can’t, be a change agent for a positive cause, do a small act of love and compassion, lend a hand or an ear, be involved in your child’s education, join a group about something that interest you, volunteer for a cause or at a center, school or nursing home, thank everyday workers, help a neighbor, make a meal for someone, get to know someone who is from a different culture, race, ethnic background to gain insights into diversity and inclusion, become educated about issues, write to your legislators about your informed concerns, vote, call a friend, visit someone who doesn’t get visitors to show you care, get positively involved in the political change process, make your voice heard, etc. Of course, these are just the beginning of real positive systemic change.
There are many ways that we all can make a meaningful difference in our lives and the lives of others. You matter! You can make a positive ripple effect in your own way to help change the world for the better. We are hopeful for a better world for us, our children and many generations to come. Spread goodness and joy.
Be a pebble, dear friends.
