We Released the Local Development Guide for Business

 

It is critical to act together for a better quality of life. In cooperation with TÜRKONFED, we introduced the Local Development Guide for Business, where we describe how to build inclusive and participatory collaborations required for global, national and local development.

OECD's Regulatory Policy Outlook was translated and shared with the Turkish Public in Cooperation with TÜSİAD

 

We translate OECD's Regulatory Policy Outlook Reports into Turkish to create value in public governance. In addition to the 2015 Report, we translated the last report into Turkish and our Academic Board Member Dr. Erkin Erimez examined the developments in Türkiye by providing comparisons between the last two reports. Thanks to OECD Regulatory Policies Department Chair and Advisory Board Member Nick Malyshev for contributing to the announcement of the Report as the main speaker of our event, which was announced in cooperation with TÜSİAD.

Chairman of our Board of Trustees, Dr. Yılmaz Argüden, was the guest of the Online Political School organized by the Association for Supporting of Women Candidates - KA.DER. Dr. Argüden shared the relationship between good governance, responsible leadership and success in his speech.

Since our establishment, we have been sharing how we utilize resources entrusted upon us through an Integrated Report. As a result of this culture we adopted, we published our 2019 Integrated Report in record speed of 40 days.

Governance Files-1 is Online!

 

We released the first of the Governance Files Series in Turkish (Yönetişim Dosyaları), which we evaluate current developments in the light of governance. In the first file, we discussed the interaction between our behaviors and rules. We examined the ways in which public policies are created that affect our daily lives, how behavioral approaches are used when creating these rules, and whether citizens' views are reflected in the process of creating rules. We evaluated the first file with the President of OECD Regulatory Policy Division and our Advisory Board Member Nick Malyshev.

An Informative #StayHome Activity: Quarantine Talks

 

We organized Quarantine Talks in cooperation with the Istanbul Youth Platform to spend productive time at home. With these talks we met with leading academics, business people and athletes, we remained healthy and continued the learning process by inviting people such as Dr. Yılmaz Argüden, Prof. Dr. Bahadır Erdem, Aclan Acar, Bülent Eczacıbaşı, Hidayet Türkoğlu, Prof. Dr. Erhan Erkut.

 

We celebrated the 100th Anniversary of
the National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

 
 

We acknowledged the parliamentary environment and the first activities of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye where inclusiveness and stakeholder engagement were the norm. Economist Ege Cansen and our Board Member Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası answered the questions of Yaren (11) and Mehmet Efe (5).

We had gifts to children for National Soveregnity and Children's Day. We shared some activities of our Good Governance for Kids Program via digital platforms for the future leaders who were at home because of COVID-19. These videos were shared with the children through our partners. Private Sector Volunteers Association and the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation who are among the leading non-governmental organizations in Türkiye that work to provide equal access to education for children.

We continue to work for a sustainable future and quality of life. One of our impact-research Sustainability Governance Scorecard © supports sustainability governance by highlighting good-practices in sustainability reporting and facilitates peer-to-peer-learning among leading companies. We started working for SG Scorecard 2020 after having published our first report in 2019 based on public disclosures of Global Sustainability Leaders.

Children Friendly Municipality Governance Scorecard

 
 

Our Municipality Governance Scorecard © continue to trigger other research. Our Model inspired Kadıköy Municipality to prepare the world's 1st Municipality Integrated Report, the Association for Supporting of Women Candidates - KA.DER and Green Future Association's studies about how their constituencies are treated by the municipalities. With the Children Friendly Municipality Governance Scorecard, we will examine the governance practices of the municipalities from the eyes of children and their parents.

Governance Youth Network

 
 

We continue to build the future with the future leaders. The Governance Youth Network, which consists of graduates of our Governance101 Training Program, begins its activities. In our Youth Network, all members will share with each other the developments in the governance field.
Efforts will be made for responsible leadership and good governance, so young leaders who will be influential in the future will gain experience with new projects to improve the governance culture.
