Submission deadline for the Spotlight on the Arts magazine is
AUGUST 15th, 2020 for the SEPTEMBER 2020 issue!


Event listings are free and our artist members are welcome to submit their images for consideration on the cover.  We are also looking for articles on the art experience in Surrey or your journey in the arts.

Show us your COV-ART®.  Share with your fellow ACS members what you have been doing while in isolation to satisfy your artistic side.

SURREY FESTIVAL of DANCE 2020 | DEADLINE: JUNE 15th
Future Achievement Scholarship Programme



Future Achievement Scholarships are available for dancers between the ages of 15 and 21.   Deadline is June 15, 2020.   Please note all applications must be mailed to our office [ Surrey Festival of Dance Society, #203 – 13541 – 102nd Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia Canada, V3T 4X8] , no drop off or signature required will be accepted as the building is locked up for the unforeseeable future. Surrey Civic Theatres: Digital Stage


Surrey Civic Theatres are a gathering place where artists, audience and our community connect and find inspiration. During this time when people cannot come together, we are committed to finding ways for people to connect and find inspiration in a virtual space. Our new Digital Stage invites local artists and artists that have a following with the existing Civic Theatres audience for online performances. These presentations will embody the joy of performing arts and will be produced and presented adhering to safe distancing practices. This will also provide some much-needed revenue for artists who are all experiencing a sudden loss of income as a result of the pandemic. These family-friendly, free online events are easy to attend: just follow the link on the City of Surrey YouTube channel at:

Your posters will be featured only in the month of your event and the month prior. If your poster does not include a date it will be included in the email for 2 months (you can resubmit your poster if the content is still relevant).
This is an effort to keep the Art About Town email to a reasonable size for everyone's inbox.
