OCYI June Update

Summer is coming to Ottawa! While this summer is going to be different from any other summer we have ever experienced, OCYI is excited to share resources to support children, youth and their families, as well as those who work with them.

Let us know what you are doing this summer! Have you adapted your summer camp programming to physical distancing guidelines? Have you gone virtual? Are you proud of a really creative physically distanced activity your team created? Send details to info@growingupgreat.ca.

Are you not sure where to start? Check out OCYI's Summer Programming page for guidance and ideas! This is just a start, so keep checking back as new details are added.

The City of Ottawa’s Human Needs Task Force and Just Food are partnering to provide seeds and soil to 3000 households living on lower incomes in Ottawa. Home gardens are a great way to grow your own food, stay active, and support positive mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read the announcement here. Please share the registration form with interested households! Learn more about the program on their website, click here.
Counselling services are open and available to provide all ages free phone and video counselling. Schedule a same-day or next-day counselling session through this new site: www.counsellingconnect.org
