A note from the Rector
Peace be with you on this Third Sunday after Pentecost!
Our liturgical calendar mirrors the color of green we see in God's creation. This is a beautiful time to live in Rochester! Metaphorically and spiritually we reside in the green growing season. What seeds are you planting in the heart of your garden? How are you nourishing it? Where are the weeds of distraction that cause you to stumble? Loving kindness creates a way of listening to the holy, as well as taking on habits of grace that help us to connect with others and discern a courageous movement forward. The way we go is a choice: sometimes it is internal and sometimes it is coming alongside each other to do the hard work of advocacy, education and honest conversation. As I am continually reminded, we are Resurrection people, and we are capable of love and transformation into the people we are born to be! Thanks be to God!
Faithfully,
Amma Leslie+
