Remember to FIND THE CENTER & stay aware of it through the session.
Darks go on thin, lightest colors go on thick
Squint, squint, squint
Don't get too caught up in the petals. Be sure to get the dark shadow SHAPES in first.
Hold your brush in a variety of ways and try to keep moving.
Don't 'color book' technique. Try to think MASS and butt one mass up to another, overlap or cut away with the next stroke.
Have fun & SMILE!! It will show in your work.
If all else fails and you get a big mushy mess, use that palette knife to scrape it off! AND JUMP BACK IN THERE!!
