BikeLNK users are loving longer trips

You asked for longer trips and we listened, all BikeLNK pass types now come with unlimited 1-hour trips! June was our first month with longer trips and the community response has been phenomenal.

BikeLNK riders have really been taking advantage of our new trip length! In June, the average trip time was around 50 minutes and BikeLNK riders were averaging around 4 miles per trip. This is a huge increase in terms of average time & distance than in previous months!
We so are excited to see how our riders have enjoyed the change to 1-hour trips and are taking advantage of BikeLNK to get outside!

With the increase in trip length, we had small changes to our pass rates and overage fees increased to $6 per additional hour. You can find current pass rates on the BikeLNK website. Students, Seniors, Military, & University of Nebraska-Lincoln Community members can find more information on discounted rates here.

Summertime riding tips
The hot summer days are in full force! Here are some riding tips to have fun rides on those hot days:
  • Bring plenty of water for your ride, one bottle of water per hour of riding is a good approximation of how much water you should bring along.
  • Pack snacks-  staying fueled makes for a better adventure!
  • Wear sunscreen & clothing with UPF to avoid sunburns. Not only do sunburns hurt, but they can cause dehydration leading to tired, dizzy feelings.
  • Want to sweat less? Ride an e-bike! You still need to pedal, but you'll arrive as your destination less sweaty than on a classic. You can find e-bikes with ease on the BCycle App
  • Don't forget your mask and maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and others as you ride.
  • Have fun!
