We hope you and your families are all happy, healthy and safe during a challenging and unusual Maine summer. We are taking what life gives us one day at a time as we plan for the future in our current "normal" and how we can make a big impact on the lives of all young women and girls in Maine. We are so glad to keep you updated as there is news to share!

Work Out for Wes on July 25 #workoutforwes
Fitness was an important focus for our dear Wes Thames.  His Crossfit family at Crossfit 321 in Topsham created a workout just for him that they will do together in his honor on July 25.  Let's join them in spirit for the day and #workoutforwes. However you move your body on July 25:
1. Snap a picture of your workout
2. Post it to Facebook 
3. Tag: Wes's daughter Whitney Thames (and Karen, and Audrey,  too!), Miss Maine Scholarship Program, and Crossfit 321.

Miss Maine Century Club Members

The goal of the Century Club is to develop 100 donors to give $100 each year.  That would guarantee us $10,000 for our scholarship fund every year!  Especially in this time when our regular fundraising efforts are in peril due to COVID 19, please reach out and invite your friends and family to join you in our Century Club.  Please also re-up your annual gift for 2020 if you have not.  It is such a small gift that together can make such a BIG impact, especially now.

Donate to the Century Club
Jane's Free Spirit Wins!
Jane was selected to be Maine's student representative for the annual Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference. Jane's winning essay showed the qualities of "free spirit" and focused on her experience participating in the Miss Maine Scholarship Program. Jane will attend a virtual conference usually hosted in Washington, D.C. and will be assigned a writing project to continue throughout her senior year. She will also be awarded a $1,000 college scholarship for her participation in the conference. Her writing samples were articles published in Greely High School's digital student newspaper and will be available to the public after the conference. Congratulations, Jane!  
Sign up for the Miss Maine & MMEOT 2021 Competitions
Maine is an “open state” which means that ANYONE who fulfills the requirements to compete CAN compete for Miss Maine or Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen. Women and girls do not need to win a local title to compete in either of our competitions. Sign-ups for the Miss Maine and Miss Maine's Outstanding Teen Competitions are open.
