In recent months as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, many organisations have published documents which impact the way maritime professionals organise and conduct their work at sea. These documents address some of the key topics at the moment:
 

 

What's New at Onboard Maritime

Onboard Maritime is continuing to offer MCA orals prep across all levels. We've changed our delivery method to offer more flexibility to our candidates - we are now able to provide a personalised programme designed around the dates you wish to start studying and your exam.

We've added short videos and presentations to the 'Media Library', covering aspects of the written and orals courses. These are available to anyone who has registered on our online platform.

Our Chief Mate written prep course is progressing well. We're expecting to launch this within the next 6-8 weeks and we hope to run a pilot course in preparation for the October exam dates. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates.

Alex Walster is a Chartered safety professional in the maritime domain, specialising in risk management and human factors.

 He has a Master’s degree in Risk, Crisis and Resilience Management and Diplomas in Occupational Health and Business Continuity Management and continues his academic work in Ergonomics and Human Factors at the University of Derby.

Alex started his career as a Cadet with Bibby International and went on to qualify as a Deck Officer, gaining seagoing experience on different vessel types including container vessels and tankers. He has worked ashore since 2010 as a specialist in risk management and safety auditor.
