Community hui or online survey - waiting for your thoughts.
Your independent business association.
Run by local businesses for local businesses.
The Kaikōura Economic Recovery Governance Group (KERGG) is a partnership between Kaikōura District Council and Te Runanga o Kaikōura with a purpose to develop a recovery plan for Kaikōura in response to the impact of COVID-19 on our local economy.
The time frame is short, as everyone else in the country is doing the same prior to Government election stand-down. To gain the most insight into the needs of the community and to enable the group to lobby and advocate to central government effectively, you are asked to come to one of the community hui's or fill out the online survey here.
We are asking for community input on the following:
• Environmental recovery projects
• Community led projects
• Education and training
• Business and tourism
• Health and social well-being
Community Hui’s will be held where you can come and speak to representatives from all sectors of the Kaikōura Economic Recovery Governance Group.
Wednesday 1 July Memorial Hall: 10am – 1pm and 5pm – 7pm
Saturday 4 July Memorial Hall: 10am – 1pm Takahanga Marae: 5pm – 7pm
