The word ‘lock-down’ can make us think of inactivity, inertia, and passivity. Since March 20th when Warminster School was forced to close, we have been exactly the opposite of this. Indeed, when you look at summing up this term in numbers, the figures show that lock-down has been extremely busy…

It is vital that I make mention of my colleagues in the Prep School under the leadership of Phil Titley. ‘Over the road’, they have had pupils in school almost constantly since lock-down began, and for the last two weeks have been open for all pupils. The effort and commitment to do this has been tremendous and it has been truly wonderful to see smiling faces on pupils and staff, as we have shown we can be open and do it safely. If you haven’t yet watched the Prep School Prize Giving please make sure you do so – it is fantastic.
A final huge thank you from me, for all the hard work that has gone into making this term so busy for all our pupils. In addition to our teaching staff, I must also thank all those colleagues who have worked behind the scenes, from Maintenance to Grounds, from Domestics to Accounts, from Admin to our Marketing and Admissions Department. As always at Warminster School, it is a true team effort and I am extremely grateful to, and very proud of, everyone who forms part of this truly special community.
I hope you all manage to have a restful and relaxing summer and I can’t wait to see you all in September.
